Robert Buch Appears in Court
The man accused in the attempted robbery of a bank as well as a North Avenue business appears in court.
56-year-old Robert Buch appeared before a Mesa County Judge on Thursday for a plea hearing.
Buch is charged with 9 counts including two charges for attempted robbery, possession of burglary tools and several habitual criminal charges.
The District Attorney's Office offered Buch a plea deal, however, the defense has countered with a deal of their own. Prosecutor's say they need a few more weeks to review the counter offer and Buch will return to court on April 11th.
Buch is accused in the attempted robbery of the "Bank of the West" on 7th street before demanding money from a counter employee at the Weinerschnitzel on North Avenue.
Authorities say he was wearing a court ordered tracking device, linking him to the crime scenes.
