COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- Authorities in Colorado Springs have arrested a man accused in a string of crimes that ended with him handing out money in a hotel lobby.

Now, police are asking the public to return any money they received.

Police say a sporting goods store reported that a man with a shotgun was trying to obtain another weapon Wednesday afternoon when a shot was fired.

The man left after a struggle.

Police then started receiving calls that a man was throwing money out of his car window and later began handing out money in a downtown hotel lobby.

Police have arrested 26-year-old David Anderson on suspicion of aggravated robbery and attempted robbery.
