Roaring Fork Valley Examines Homeless Study

by KREX News Room
by Associated Press

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.- Following a study of the regional homeless population, the Roaring Fork Valley social service agencies decided to focus primarily on homeless military veterans and youth.

According to the Glenwood Springs Post Independent, about 40 social service officials made their decision following a study of those who are homeless or close to losing their homes in Garfield, Eagle and Pitkin counties.

Some organizations are expressing concern, saying other vulnerable groups are being neglected.

Roaring Fork officials stressed that they would still be working with other parts of the homeless population, including the chronically homeless and the elderly.

YES YOU DID! Is it time to peel the tired old Obummer bumper sticker off the car? A hair dryer works wonders....
