GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.- The Roaring Fork School District may soon have a new superintendent in place.

Dr. Diana Sirko has moved onto the next phase of the selection process for the position.

The Roaring Fork School District Board of Education decided to work with Dr. Sirko because she has demonstrated a deep commitment and passion for education.

Sirko was named Interim Superintendent for the district in July of 2012 and has been a constant presence in RFSD schools.

Dr. Sirko was also recently the Deputy Commissioner of Education for the State of Colorado.

She was also the Superintendent for the Aspen Public Schools for seven years.
