GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo.- The Roaring Fork School District has a new interim superintendent for the 2012-2013 school year.

The former superintendent of Aspen Public Schools, Dr. Diana Sirko, has been selected out of four candidates for the position.

Board of Education officials say her knowledge of SB 191, the Colorado educator effectiveness law, played a large role in choosing her as interim superintendent.

A contract will be drafted next week and in January, the board will decide on a permanent superintendent to start work on July 1, 2013.
