Rimrock Drive Reopens on Monument After Snow

by KREX News Room

MESA COUNTY, Colo. - Rimrock Drive near the Colorado National Monument is back open after this week's snow activity.

The Monument reopened the upper section of Rimrock Drive from DS Road to Independence Monument Overlook to all traffic after the area was plowed, sanded and cleared of snow.

However, officials want drivers to be aware of snow and black ice patches that remain. They ask that drivers be especially alert for ice on the switchbacks on both the east and west hills of Rimrock Drive.
