Rifle's City Manager Announces His Retirement

RIFLE, Colo.- Rifle's City Manager will be stepping down from his position this May.

According to the Citizen Telegram, John Hier announced during last week's city council meeting he would be retiring.

Hier has been Rifle's city manager for nine years. He also served as the Carbondale city manager for nine years before taking on the position in Rifle.

The final decision on who will take over Hier's seat will be up to the city council.
