RIFLE, Colo.- Rifle city officials are considering ways to pay off a potential $19 million recreation center and that may include residents help.

According to the Citizen Telegram, Rifle City Council was told to look at several studies to determine the best financing methods for the multi-million dollar, three story center, that would be located at Metro Park.

The city is considering having voters decide on a possible sales tax hike and bond issue in the September municipal election.

The original plan called for a rec center that would replace the Brenden Theaters, costing the city $30 million.

The current Rifle Fitness Center has 300 members and there is no room for any additions.
