RIFLE, Colo.- The Rifle Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual election forum Tuesday night.

Many candidates vying for federal, state and local positions answered questions that were previously submitted by the general public.

Several districts, including U.S. Representative District 3, State Senate District 8, Colorado House of Representatives District 57, Garfield County Commissioners, Garfield County District Attorney and Garfield County Legacy Project were represented.

Two major ballot measures were up for discussion, including the water treatment plant sales tax and Amendment 64, which would regulate marijuana like alcohol.

Residents from around the county came out to listen in and ask questions.

Moderators kept answers to less than two minutes.

Hello Ms Chandler, I have watched and attended BOCC meetings, and listened to the committee meetings. Thanks for helping me clarify to the people. It's hard to explain every detail in a 90 second sound bite.
