Furthermore Daniel selling our energy resources to foreign nations is not charity, it is for profit. I am not opposed to capitalism, but I do not think the American people should be forced to pay increasingly higher energy cost for the benefit of a wealthy few. That's not socialism, that's a patriotic love of the United States of America and its people.

Daniel, In my opinion we should apply those theological values to our neighbors and our citizens before we take the responsibility for people in foreign nations, many of which are our enemies. Certainly you do not deny that there are millions in our nation that are not as fortunate as perhaps you and I are. Have you not witnessed the growth of poverty in this country? The selling of our energy resources to foreign nations has nothing to do with theological virtue, it is for the enrichment of those that already have abundance. There were no homeless or hungry people in attendance at this COG&A Banquet.

Dillard, because other people are not as fortunate as we are in the US. It is called charity, and it is a theological virtue. Here is the definition: selfless, unconditional, and voluntary loving-kindness such as helping one's neighbours.

No one has explained why it is the responsibility of the United States to provide energy and food for the entire world.

"Tipton also said by easing up regulations" No we need to clamp down even more. I am so tired of the destruction of land these people cause not to mention the pollution of ground water and wells.
