ROBBERY UPDATE: C&F Clerk Recognized Suspect

More information is released regarding the armed robbery that took place at C&F Food Store on North Avenue.
According to Grand Junction Police, Milton Telemaque, 24, of Grand Junction, allegedly walked into the store with a disguise on. The disguise fell off, and the clerk recognized him.
Telemaque walked out of the store, only to return moments later without the disguise.
Telemaque demanded that the clerk give him money. The clerk noticed he had a shiny, metallic object in his hand believing it was a deadly weapon.
Telemaque took off with an undisclosed amount of cash, and was later caught and apprehended by Grand Junction Police.
The clerk identified Telemaque as the suspect, and Telemaque also admitted to the robbery.
He also told officers he used a staple gun to simulate an actual firearm.
Telemaque was arrested and booked into the Mesa County Jail, charged with aggravated robbery, felony menacing, and obstructing a peace officer.
