GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Grand Junction residents got pumped up as they shopped around for skis, jackets, and snow boots at Lincoln Park Barn Saturday.

R-5 High School held it's annual Ski Swap to help raise money for scholarships and other school activities that some students normally can't afford.

Vendors from Durango, Glenwood Springs, Grand Junction, and Aztec, New Mexico were all out supporting the ski swap.

"Well, keeping the scholarship up; we are trying to encourage our students who've not been really successful in school to consider going to college after they graduate. We want them to know that
we value it, and put the money behind it," said Al Kreinberg, teacher at R5 High School.

Organizers say a lot of the items were available at a deep discounted price.

The school typically makes around $3,000-$6,000 from the ski swap.
