GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- On Friday, members of the Grand Junction Visitor and Convention Bureau took a trip to Denver to help promote the city. Traveling with them were some local hoteliers, adventure companies, winery representatives and others.

The bureau held a conference at the governor's mansion with the goal of getting more tourism in Grand Junction. Meeting and tour planners attended the event.

The conferences have been held since 1992. Officials say they experienced the highest turnout this year, with 170 clients.
