GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- U.S. postage is going up in price.

Starting January 27, stamps will go up a penny each, from 45 cents to 46 cents.

Officials say some other changes that are in effect come Sunday include priority and express mail, which will also go up in price.

"A new product that we're releasing this year, is a forever international stamp for $1.10. It's a stamp that can get to any destination around the world, for a letter, and the price is good forever just like our domestic stamps," said David Rupert, postal spokesperson for Colorado.

Officials with the postal service say every year in January they make a change in price, which correlates to the consumer price index.
