President Obama Pushes For Higher Minimum Wage

by KREX News Room

WASHINGTON (AP) - As President Barack Obama pushes for the minimum wage increase that he called for in his State of the Union address, House Speaker John Boehner is explaining why he thinks it's a bad idea.

Boehner says that when you ``raise the price of employment,'' there are fewer jobs. He asks, ``Why would we want to make it harder for small employers to hire people?''

But Obama, speaking in North Carolina, said giving workers a decent living is part of the key to reviving the economy. He said, ``If you work full time, you shouldn't be in poverty.'' Obama proposed an increase in the minimum wage from $7.25 an hour to $9 an hour.

Ah, this is a classic Alewinski technique to deflect focus on his purposeful destruction of the economy, nothing more. If only poor Barry didn't have to fight all these mysterious forces that are keeping the public down, then perhaps we would have a good country. Alas, he is just a single person trying to do a job he is not well equipped to do and isn't having much luck. Them mean ol Republicans keep thwarting his attempts to fix what has been wrong with this country since it was founded. Poor poor Barry.

Of course any increase would be good for some one trying to make a living. Right now $7.25 an hour doesn't give you alot, but them again it is better than not working. For the business owner of course they will be crying than it is too mush and might have to close.

That would mean the price of everythin will go up to compensate for it.
