Powderhorn Takes First Step In Becoming Year Round Destination

MESA, Colo.- Powderhorn Mountain Resort is celebrating the completion of their brand new frisbee golf course. The course is 18 baskets and runs uphill along the face of the mountain.

However, Powderhorn says, this amenity will be the first of many more they have planned for the future.

"In the future we have plans for ziplining, downhill mountain biking and a full speed quad lift," said marketing manager Gabrielle Michna.

Officials say they want to start small when making additions to the mountain and then grow progressively larger, but not too large.

"We're not trying to be the next huge resort or anything like that. As long as we can be here for the community and provide extra outlets of activity like snowboarding, skiing and all of the summer activities that are available up here, that's what we're looking for," said Michna.

The course is free to the public and will be open through the fall.
