Powderhorn Road to Undergo Major Improvements

by KREX News Room
by Jordan Sherman

MESA COUNTY, Colo.- Mesa County has agreed to let Accurate Construction improve Powderhorn Road from Highway 65 to Powderhorn's lodge.

Improvements include widening the north side of the roadway by 16 feet, and adding drainage facilities, stormwater management and traffic control.

Sam Williams, mountain operations manager for Powderhorn, said, "It's a little tight. It's a little narrow. It's not in the best shape. Coming in and resurfacing it is definitely going to help, and having that extra width on the roadway's going to be a definite bonus."

The total cost of the product will be just under $500,000, and construction must be finished by Sept. 1 of 2013.

Well, I've heard of 'definite' and 'defecate.' Is 'definately' a new word or a combination of the two?
