WESTMINSTER, Colo.- Westminster police have confirmed a connection between the murder of Jessica Ridgeway and an earlier attack on another woman. Now they have a suspect description.

Police officials are remaining tight lipped on the exact nature of the connection because the investigation is ongoing.

Earlier this year a woman was attacked by an unknown suspect on Memorial Day near Ketner Lake.

She claimed a man tried to cover her face with a chemical-soaked rag before she was able to escape.

She described the attacker as an 18 to 30-year-old light-skinned male.

He is of medium build with brown hair and approximately 5'6" to 5'8" tall.

Anyone with information on the Ketner Lake attack or the murder of Jessica Ridgeway is asked to call Westminster Police at 303-658-4336.

In an effort to give justice to Jessica, Westminster Police and the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers are asking for donations to build a reward to find the person who kidnapped and killed Jessica.
