Possible Plea Deal for Kissner

by John Dias

DELTA, Colo.- A Delta County man charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of his wife could plead guilty as part of a plea deal.

The Delta County Independent reports that a plea deal is being worked out for 48-year-old Billy Kissner. He would plead guilty to manslaughter in exchange for a sentencing cap of eight years.

Kissner was charged last spring in connection with the 2010 death of his wife Raelynn.

She was found unconscious in the hot tub of the couple's home.

The autopsy revealed she did not drown but instead had bruises and other marks on her body.

A preliminary hearing has been pushed to Feb. 11.

Please tell that is a typo. 8 years for murder? A confession, an arrest for murder, motive, and obviously intent. Manslaughter, please. There is something so wrong with this. It sounds like open season on wifes.

Wow, 8 years for killing your wife- Amazing world we live in- Wonder what is defined as real crime or real punishment- Wonder how much it all will degrade in another 20 years- and another- May I recommend the movie Idiocracy- It will give you an idea of our future :-)
