Popular Stock Show Reports Decrease in Attendance

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- The 2013 National Western Stock Show & Rodeo is reporting its lowest attendance since 2004.

Stock show officials say total attendance this year was just fewer than 628,000.

National Western wanted to move to a new venue after years of grumbling about crumbling and outdated buildings and lack of parking, but Denver officials nixed the idea.
