AURORA, Colo. - A now-infamous theater in Aurora will look different once it reopens. The theater, operated by Cinemark, was the site of an attack that left 12 people dead and 58 wounded.

The Aurora Sentinel reports that plans filed with the city this month reveal theater nine, where the tragic event unfolded, is slated to become a "Cinemark XD" or "extreme digital" theater with an oversized screen.

Aurora mayor Steve Hogan says there is strong support to reopen the theater.
