Pitkin County Approves Plans for 2013 USA Pro Challenge

PITKIN COUNTY, Colo.- Pitkin County commissioners move forward on plans for 2013's USA Pro Challenge.

According to the Glenwood Springs Post Independent, the preferred route will include three laps of roughly 22 miles each in a circuit race looping between Aspen and Snowmass Village.

Commissioners approved plans that would minimize impacts on Highway 82 during the Aug. 19 event.

Orgnaizers estimate motorists will endure roughly 20 minute delays while the riders move through.

This year's USA Pro Challenge begins in Aspen.
