Pipeline Break Leaks Frac Water in Silt

SILT, Colo.- Officials worked to clean up a frac water spill in Silt on Saturday. Dozens of gallons of the chemical were leaked.

Encana officials say that at around 6:45 a.m. there was a breach in one of their water lines. About 50 barrels of the produced water spilled out.

Some of the frac water spilled into Dry Hollow Creek, but it did not reach the Colorado River.

Officials say they were able to get the break fixed and the spill cleaned up by around 11 a.m. Saturday.

They also say there was minimal environmental impact.

The cause of the break is under investigation.

Never hurt nothing...Cleaned up quickly...No water contaminated.......Frack water was brine water.....

All this information received by KREX is directly from Encana..In response to that...Rodney King wasnt beaten over 50 times either. (RIP Rodney)..Nothing like them policing themselves. Do you really think it has been completly cleaned up? I bet 70% of it isn't.

Encana did what they needed to properly and quickly. Thats what happens when your hands do their job in an accidental spill.

Encana has destroyed Garfield County, and probably caused a few deaths in the process. Everything they touch turns to a dead mess. They can't reclaim any of the land as its too poisoned to grow again. All the herds of animals that they have displaced is disgusting. They continually lie to the residents of Garfield County and it's government, which by the way lets them get away with murder. Wonder why?

Nothing better than a true fossil fuel plant like Craig or Hayden. Clean, efficiant and 7-24, good reclamation of mined property, and did I mention you can turn your light's on 7-24-365 freezers 7-24-365, airline flights,keeping the (99%)of numb nuts from, well what ever it is they do to wreck destruction upon our economy and still keep their welfare checks coming.IE free collage loans , No fracking, no coal, no nukes how will they protest, blog, etc. without a source of electricty. Stupid is as Stupid Does. I want my change back!
