Peyton Manning Jersey Banned at Colo. School

by KREX News Room

GREELEY, Colo.- While Colorado football fans look forward to Peyton Manning's official Bronco debut, one school district says his No. 18 jerseys won't be allowed in class.

An 8-year-old boy who says Manning is his hero, often sports the jersey, but his Manning mania isn't welcome inside his third grade classroom.

According to Weld County School District 6, No. 18 is considered to be part of gang culture, and is effectively banned from the classroom.

School officials say the ban has nothing to do with Peyton Manning.

However, some say it goes a little too far, and that No. 18 should be celebrated, not feared.

This proves, once again, that there is no common sense left in this country. If the school has banned the number 18 and/or any others from the classroom. I would surmise that they went through the entire school and removed the number 18 from ALL books, papers, rooms, calendars, etc., because if it is not allowed then remove it from everything. See how stupid that sounds. It is time people start THINKING about what the make up as rules, they look pretty stupid in my book.
