Petunia Beads Opens in Delta

DELTA, Colo. - Delta is seeing more and more businesses pop up in the area, including a local bead store that just held their grand opening Friday.

Petunia Beads sells loose beads, strands of beads, acrylic, glass, gemstone, crystals, sterling silver, and gold-filled findings, as well as various wires and threading, just to name a few things.

The store's owner, Natira Turner, says she has her mother to thank for her love of jewelry.

"When she passed away, I inherited her bead store. She had a bead store in North Carolina," explained Turner.

It was four-and-a-half years later that Turner began the process of opening Petunia Beads. She hopes her daughter will also share their love of jewelry making.

Petunia Beads also sells consignment items and is open Tuesday through Sunday.
