GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. Construction of a $4 million parking structure in downtown Glenwood Springs is ahead of schedule. The new structure will help clear congestion in the busy downtown and help out local business.

The new parking lot has been under construction since June, and partially opened before Thanksgiving to support downtown retailers during the holidays. Twenty-five spots out of the total 149 spots are available for the public.

The full upper level will open in mid-December and the lower level is anticipated to be complete and opened in early January.
