PALISADE, Colo.- Palisade was full of wine and smiling faces Saturday at the annual wine festival.
Thousands of people from across the state gathered in Riverbend Park to see all that the wineries from Palisade and other parts of Colorado have to offer.
Once inside the gates, free unlimited wine tastings were available from around 50 different wineries. "It's been a lot of fun. We love it every year, so hopefully it's good for all the Colorado wineries and for the valley in general," said Brandon Witham, marketing manager at Two Rivers Winery.
One visitor from Denver said she will definitely be coming back. "You have the wine, obviously, but then there's music, jewelry and the jams, which is probably my favorite. I can't help it, I'm from Texas and I like jelly and bread," said Courtney Thompson.
Some people were going around with cards taking notes of their favorite wines so they could remember them at the end of the day.
There was an area designated as a holding place for those who bought wine and didn't want to carry it around all day.
Each case of wine holds 12 bottles.
