PALISADE, Colo. The Palisade Bluegrass and Roots Music Festival returned to Riverbend Park for its 5th year. Officials expect to draw in 3,000 spectators on Saturday night alone.
This is the largest music festival in Palisade, with bands from all over the country performing.
Officials say the economic impact is huge, with 80 percent of people in attendance coming from outside the Grand Valley. The family-friendly event is a great way to enjoy Palisade.
Sadie Putnam, a 10-year-old local resident, said, "Beautiful, so many people walking around. And music, just a lot of music. I like it, it's home for me."
The festival kicked off on Friday and continues throughout the weekend.
This year festival organizers doubled the available camping spots and only served Grand Valley wine and spirits.
