GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- A local resident woke up to a scary situation Thursday. Around 3 a.m. a man in his 30s says his sleep was disrupted by someone breaking into his house. It happened at 1330 N. 24th St. in Grand Junction.

The man first yelled at the intruders to "get out" and then fired several rounds with his handgun at the suspect or suspects.

Authorities arrived on scene shortly after and searched the surrounding area, but could not locate anyone who appeared suspicious. No evidence was found suggesting that anyone had been hit by the bullets that were shot.

A K-9 unit from Fruita was also called in during the search but no evidence was found. Authorities do not have a description of the suspect or suspects at this time.

Nothing was taken from the home and there was no sign of forced entry. An investigation is underway and if you have any information, please call the Grand Junction Police Department at 242-6707.

No one was located who appeared suspicious, no evidence was found indicating anyone had been hit by bullets, the K-9 unit couldn't find any evidence, nothing was taken and there were no signs of forced entry. This guy was simply dreaming and blazed up at the phantoms in his dream!
