Operation Interdependence Hosts Fundraiser for Troops

by KREX News Room
by Meaghan Wallace

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - You've got a chance to support our troops! Saturday, August 11 Operation Interdependence is hosting a parking lot extravaganza.

There you'll find everything from candy, drinks, office, school supplies and even golf clubs. These are things that O.I. can't ship overseas to our troops, so they're offering them up in return for donations.

These donations will be used to purchase the postage funds needed to continue shipping our troops care packages.

This event is taking place at the O.I. warehouse located on 29 1/2 Road and North Avenue. Event organizers say it will start at 9 a.m. and run into the afternoon, depending on the turn out.
