Olathe Kicks off 2012 Sweet Corn Festival

OLATHE, Colo.- A popular Western Slope festival is underway.

The annual Olathe Sweet Corn Festival started on Friday and continues Saturday.

The popular event usually attracts a big crowd and 2012 is sure to be no exception.

The celebration kicked off with music, a car show and the area's world famous sweet corn.

On Saturday, gates at the festival grounds open at 9 a.m.

Along with plenty of sweet corn, there will be live entertainment, games and contests.
