Officials Expect Hundreds to Attend Marijuana Class
KREX News Room
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Officials with the Mesa County Sheriff's Office say due to an overwhelming amount of interest they've moved their next safety class, dealing with marijuana and the effects it has on the adolescent brain, to a larger location to accommodate everyone.
Organizers say it will be filled with usable information for those who attend.
"Lets take all of the myths and everything that you hear and see on Youtube, the things that kids talk about among themselves, the things advocates talk about ... we want to remove all of that nonsense and we just want the truth on what exactly that drug is doing," said Deputy Chad Williams with the Mesa County Sheriff's Office.
The class is on March 5 at Canyon View Vineyard Church at 7:30 p.m. If that class fills up and you are still interested in taking it, an additional class will be held on March 11.
