DENVER- According to a new health report card, one in five Coloradans is obese.

Officials say Colorado's obesity rate today is greater than the highest obesity rate that was set 15 years ago in Mississippi.

The state has now broken the 20 percent barrier, since Colorado now sits at a 22 percent obesity level.

Officials say solutions to obesity are making sure you get daily physical activity, better nutrition and public awareness campaigns like "live-well."

Published reports say each dollar spent on wellness programs shows medical costs decreasing by more than $3.
