Limited Updates on the Status of Pit Bull Attack Victim

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Few details have been released on the condition of a Mesa County infant attacked by a pit bull.
Authorities say the 8-month-old girl was bitten by her family's dog last night at their home in Grand Junction.
News Channel 5 spoke with two family members on Wednesday, but when asked about the infant's condition, they refused to comment.
Mesa County Animal Services also couldn't confirm the status of the dog, noting they would not comment on the situation until the investigation was complete.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, just after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night, a pit bull attacked a family's 8-month-old infant at 588 Ronlin St.
Paramedics arrived on scene shortly after the incident and rushed the infant to St. Mary's Hospital with unspecified injuries.
Mesa County Animal Services was dispatched to the incident and took the dog in without any issues.
