New information Released About Driver Involved in Fatal Crash

MESA COUNTY -New information is released about the woman involved in a Mesa County car crash that killed a cyclist.
According to the Delta County Court Records, 29-year-old Tonie Rosales was due in court for a plea hearing Wednesday to answer to multiple charges including driving under the influence of drugs. Her plea hearing was continued until Oct. 9.
Officials say she was the driver of a 1998 red Chevy Blazer that struck a man riding a bicycle along highway 50 on Wednesday.
Rosales was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence. She's facing four charges including vehicular homicide as well as a DUI and driving under the influence of drugs.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, on Wednesday 25-year-old Eunjey Cho of New Jersey and another cyclist were riding on the shoulder of the road, just east of Whitewater.
Authorities say Rosales swerved into the shoulder and struck Cho.
The man was pronounced dead at St. Mary's Hospital. The other cyclist was unharmed.
