GRAND JUNCTION,Colo. On Wednesday, the Pro Bono Project of Mesa County hosted a free Medicaid assistance discussion focusing on new long-term programs.
Organizers say the program is a series of discussions answering questions some people may have about long term Medicaid program requirements.
Officials say some requirements consist of medical necessity, resource eligibility, and income eligibility.
The key note speaker says there is a new program called the “Medicaid Buy In Program.”
“It’s designed for working adults who are under 65 and have some income but can’t afford to pay for private insurance and don’t have employer sponsored insurance,” said Elder Law Attorney, Drew Moore.
The Pro Bono Project is planning to have another discussion about new landlord and tenant laws, including the legalization of pot.
The discussion will be on Monday, September 30th from 9 am to 11:30 am.
This program will be located at The Commons in the Garden Room.
