New GJPD Facilities Now Open for Business

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-On Saturday the new Grand Junction Police Department opened its doors for business.

The new building, located at 555 Ute Ave., is right next to the old building. The public can access the lobby by entering the parking lot on Ute Avenue at Sixth Street.

GJPD officials say there are several new features in the lobby designed to help provide more efficient services to the public, such as designated windows for various department requests.

The new building also has a separate entrance for sex offenders who need to register with the agency.

The new building also has a new phone number: 549-5000.
