ORCHARD MESA, Colo.- The Grand Junction Fire Department is continuing its investigation into a fire that destroyed a house in Orchard Mesa on Aug. 3.

The fire broke out around 11:15 p.m. and firefighters were able to get flames under control before the fire spread. The structure, however, was a total loss.

According to Mike Page with the Grand Junction Fire Department, the fire is still under investigation, but suspicious evidence found at the scene is leading investigators to dig deeper before determining a cause.

Neighbors claim the house was foreclosed on months ago.

No one was injured in the blaze.
