Club 20 Chair Speaks Out on Group's Purpose

by KREX News Room
by Jordan Sherman

MESA COUNTY, Colo.- Newly appointed Club 20 chair Steve Reynolds of Glenwood Springs spoke out Wednesday to clarify what Club 20 is and what it offers the community.

Reynolds says many people mistake Club 20 as a Republican group representing Mesa County.

"We represent all of Western Colorado and we want to make sure that people know that no matter what their political leanings are, there's a spot for them at the table at Club 20. We welcome anybody that can be part of the solution and not part of the problem," said Reynolds.

Reynolds was appointed chairman in April after he served as chair elect for two years.

After his term as chairman, Reynolds will continue to advise the new chairperson.

Too late. We all saw the way this group acted when a candidate who didn't have the right pedigree wanted to debate and was prevented from doing so. The last thing the election process needs is a group of illuminate to filter the candidates and ensure that the crony capitalism of the good old boy network is firmly entrenched. I would agree that it isn't a Republican group, but it appears they sure have no qualms about being a RINO group! My opinion is that several members have interest that are more financial than benevolent.
