FRUITA, Colo. - A new brewery is opening in Fruita Friday, with a very unique twist.
Copper Club Brewing Company, is split in half, on one side customers can buy hops and learn how to brew beer, while on the other side customers can enjoy some five different beers on tap.
Owners say they decided to build the brewery in Fruita to keep up with the growth of the city.
"We absolutely love this town. People are friendly, it's a great locals kind of town, and they've really accepted us with open arms. We also wanted to be apart of something that's growing, and Fruita is growing rapidly," said Brian Gregor, co-owner.
Copper Club's location is on the corner of Peach Street and Aspen Avenue in Fruita.
They don't serve food in the tap room, but they allow customers to bring their own food in or order food from local downtown restaurants to deliver it.
The Fruita Chamber of Commerce will preside over the ribbon cutting at 2 p.m. Friday, with festivities to follow.
The tap room hours are Sunday through Thursday 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 2 p.m. until 9 p.m., and closed on Tuesday.
