Neighbor Dispute Leads to Possible Gunfire

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- A Grand Junction neighborhood sees quite a scene Monday afternoon, as authorities respond to reports of a possible shooting.
Just before 12:30 Monday afternoon, the Mesa County Sheriff’s office received a call claiming a neighbor was firing a gun from his porch, in the 300 block of Clarinet lane.
Deputies have yet to determine if any shots were fired, since there's no damage, or any other evidence.
However, neighbors tell NewsChannel 5 they heard something loud go off.
“There had to be one because the little dog got scared and he jumped up on my pants like he wanted me to hold him,” said Charles Thompson, neighbor. “So I know something went off, like a firecracker or something.”
No one has been arrested, and at this point the case remains an active, on-going investigation.
NewsChannel 5 will of course keep you updated as more information surfaces.
