NASA Deputy Administrator Visits Lockheed Martin

DENVER- Lori Garver, NASA deputy administrator, stopped in Colorado Monday to get a progress report on several projects underway.

While touring the facility, Garver received an update on the heat shield for Orion, the newest human spacecraft that will carry astronauts farther than ever before.

Orion will be flexible enough to take NASA astronauts to a variety of destinations, including Mars.
