COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- Jessica Ridgeway's story has parents across the state on alert.

Some are even going as far as signing up their kids for safety classes.

At a class in Colorado Springs, kids are learning what to do if a stranger comes up to them.

They're being taught not to throw punches but instead to delay and draw attention.

They're also being shown a simple technique called grip, dip and spin, which requires them to grab onto a predator's legs and start yelling.

Experts say it's something even kids 3 years old can do.
