MONTROSE, Colo. - Thursday morning Montrose's police department will be testing their emergency notification system.
Approximately 500 residents within the city will be receiving automated emergency calls but officials say they do not need to take any action as a result.
Police officials say the annual tests allows them to evaluate the effectiveness of the alert systems which they use for rapid response or evacuations.
