Montrose County Accepting Donations For Flood Victims

MONTROSE, Colo.- While recovery efforts are underway after the floods on the Front Range, the Montrose County Sheriff's office is asking for the public's help.
The sheriff's office is accepting donations on behalf of Colorado Emergency Preparedness Partnership and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
After speaking to Larimer County Sheriff's officials, there was an apparent need for several items.
Those items include new underwear, new socks, sunscreen, chap stick, bug spray, baby wipes, baby diapers, baby formula, baby food (jars), baby cereal, shovels, rakes, work gloves, and any outdoor equipment to help clean.
Donations will be accepted Monday through Friday during business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at 1200 North Grand Avenue, Montrose, Colo., 81401.
The Montrose County Sheriff's office will handle the logistics of transporting the goods to the Eastern Slope.
