Treacherous weather causes multi-car pile ups throughout the mountain range on Monday.

Traffic accidents and blowing snow temporarily shut down some portions of I-70.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, 34 vehicles, including four semi-trailer trucks, were involved in a chain-reaction pile-up yesterday morning.

Eastbound I-70 was closed throughout the mountain region including around Vail Pass.

Fortunately drivers were able to get back on the roads on Tuesday.
