Meth Lab Found Along Colorado River

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Two men are arrested after a meth lab was discovered on an island near the Fifth Street Bridge along the Colorado River in Grand Junction.

Police officials say Christopher Dugan was arrested and charged manufacturing meth and selling it.

Scott Samples, was arrested for purchasing meth and having it on his person.

The Western Colorado Drug Task Force went to the island with the Drug Enforcement Administration and removed the hazardous materials associated with the manufacturing of Methamphetamine.

Officials say the area where the meth lab was found is very unusual.

"Meth labs aren't as common as they used to be around here. Unfortunately, it's quite easy to purchase the drug already made from people who are bringing it into the area. We've had a significant decrease in the number of meth labs that we've see here. Finding it out on an island like that is more unusual as well," said Kate Porras, spokesperson for the Grand Junction Police Department.

Law Enforcement officials say this kind of lab is not like a lab you would see in a high school classroom, it's much smaller and is a mixture of chemicals.

Officials say if you ever see anything suspicious call 911, or if it's not an emergency call (970)-242-6707.

After discovery, the officers who fouund this more then likely took the meth and sold it on the streets for pure profit. Wouldn't put it past this corrupt group. Look up the article on officer david arcady

Amendment 64 is the beginning of all legal drugs. That's the agenda of the group. It's another radical militant group. And here is an argument, you let people smoke pot, then isn't it my right to use other drugs. You made pot legal then if you deny me the right to use other drugs then that's not fair. Shouldn't I be allowed to file a law suit. It's a dangerous path to go down.

re: Loss for Words- So if someone's particular choice of dope is alcohol, then that's ok? What does A-64 have to do with meth labs?

Why is this a problem? All you Amendment 64 people opened the door for this. You have your dope, they just wanted theirs.

This is AFTER Camper's babysitting squad was reassigned. I wonder what was going on while they were "on duty"?
