Meeting for Appeal in "Dutch the Dog" Case

MONTROSE COUNTY, Colo. - A meeting in the appeal case for Dutch the dog has been set.

According to the Montrose Daily Press, the Montrose County Court has set a pre-trial conference for Jeremy Aguilar, Dutch's owner, for 9 a.m. Friday.

Aguilar is appealing the court's February decision to have Dutch euthanized after an attack in Nov. 2012.

Montrose's Animal Services told NewsChannel 5 they haven't before seen an attack that vicious. But Aguilar claims Dutch was severely beaten by the woman, which is why he lashed out.
