Measures Could Boost Colorado's Economy

DENVER- Colorado's Democratic leaders are pushing for two bills that aim to boost the economy.

According to the Durango Herald, when the legislature convenes Wednesday lawmakers will consider H.B.1001, which will offer up to $15 million in grants to companies doing advance research in aerospace, bioscience, and energy.

S.B.1 would give 370,000 working families a chance to attain the earned income tax credit, the child tax credit, and the child and dependent care tax credit.

Although the two measures could boost Colorado's economic standings, the session is likely to be dominated by issues such as marijuana legalization, gun control, and possibly repealing the death penalty.

The best thing that Colorado Democratic leaders (I use the term leaders very loosely, "followers" would be much more accurate) could do is to voluntarily resign the positions that were purchased for them and let someone fit for leadership take over.
