CONSUMER ALERT: Massive Vehicle Recall for Japanese Automakers
HONG KONG - Toyota, Honda and Nissan announce a huge global vehicle recall because of a problem with airbags. More than half a million recalled Toyotas are in the U.S. The models include Corolla, Tundra and Lexus SC produced between November of 2000 and March of 2004. Honda is recalling nearly 700,000 vehicles in the U.S. including the Civic, CR-V and Odyssey. Nissan Motor Co. recalled 480,000 vehicles globally, some 137,000 of them in Japan, for the air bag problem.
